Pages
"Page" is the general term
for any exercise or information file uploaded using
one of the supported authoring packages. Quandary, TexToys
and the Hot Potatoes (JBC, JMix etc) can only upload
their own exercises, but the Masher can upload a wide
variety of other file types, including web pages, image,
audio and video files, and PDF documents. You can use
the Masher to add extra resource materials to your hotpotatoes.net
classes, in addition to the exercises provided by the
Hot Potatoes themselves. For information on uploading,
see Uploading Pages.
To see a list of the Pages you have
uploaded, click the Pages option on the Account Management
page.

This displays each Page's Title and
Description - you enter these when you upload the Page
from Hot Potatoes or from the Masher, and they are displayed
on your students' screen when they log in to their student
account. It also shows the date on which the Page was
uploaded, and a list of the "assets" which
it uses. For more information about Assets, please see
the Assets page.
Editing a Page
Each entry in the list of Pages includes
links for Editing and Deleting the Page. Selecting the
Edit option allows you to change the Title or Description
of the Page. Please note that any changes you make here
do not affect the exercise content, or the title as
it appears at the top of the exercise page - these can
only be changed by editing the exercise in the original
authoring program, then re-uploading it. Instead, when
you Edit a Page within your Teacher Administration area,
changes affect the Page's title and description as shown
in the Pages list on the Account Management page, and
on the Student login page.
Deleting Pages
When you Delete a page, you also delete
all Results associated with that Page. Make sure that
you download and store any Results you want to keep
before you delete the exercise Page. See the Results
section for more details. Note: a page uploaded using
the Masher will never have Results associated with it,
because it is not an exercise.
